Season Change

As you can see from the photo above, we are both fully off Paleo, and I can’t say that I’m all that concerned. While today’s lunch is a dairy and grain filled quiche, last night’s dinner was a giant salad of fresh vegetables topped with a simple olive oil and vinegar dressing accompanied by a simple soup filled with beef, carrots, potatoes and corn. All starchy, but still better than any processed foods.

I can’t escape comfort foods when the weather turns cold. Fall and early winter are filled with comfort foods like grains, cheeses and soups. While late winter and spring include more vegetables and clean foods. Summer is whatever I can grab as we travel and explore. I’m learning that my very unstructured personality can’t handle the same food routine. And so I’m learning to take vitamins, drink as much water as possible, and stay active.

Do your eating habits change by season?
